CINEMAGIX is a film distribution and production Romanian company founded in 2003, in Bucharest, Romania, with extended activity in film promotion and film festival organization.
DISTRIBUTION
Our distribution portfolio includes more than 400 Romanian feature films and documentaries, distributed and licensed on national and international television networks.
PRODUCTION
In recent years, CINEMAGIX expanded its activity to film production.
In 2017, produced in collaboration with Nerv Film, we released “Fault Condition” (RO: Scurtcircuit), a feature film directed by Catalin Saizescu, which won The Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award at the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival and had the honor to be part of a special projection event organized at the European Parliament in Brussels. The promoter of the film was the greatest Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci.
In 2018, we won funding from the Romanian Film Centre for two fiction feature films:
- Heroes’ Way, directed by Sergiu Prodan and Barbu Tripadus written by Barbu Tripadus and Sergiu Prodan – date of release: 2022
- Meanwhile at Bran, directed by Serban Marinescu, written by Bogdan Ficeac -Shooting is scheduled to take place in July 2022
Added to that, in 2018 the historical feature film “Maria” was granted the largest production budget from the Ministry of Culture – project that had to be postponed.
In 2019, Mandate for Life was the fourth movie to receive financing from the Romanian Film Centre, directed by Cristian Comeaga, written by Raul Florea -Shooting is scheduled to take place in July 2022 .
