How to protect your trade secrets in China – Webinar

On the 13th of April 2021, the EU-China Business Association, the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce and the China IPR SME Helpdesk organized the event “How to protect your trade secrets in China”, at which the Romania-China House was represented by Mr. Calin Vlad and Mr. Tibi H.

During the webinar participants had the opportunity to gain insights into how to protect their trade secrets in China, with a particular focus on patent and trademark litigation and contracts. Given by renowned IP lawyer and trade secret expert Mr. Le Court, the webinar provided an overview of the most important aspects of trade secrets for EU companies interested in the Chinese market. From 2012 to 2015 he worked in the Shanghai office of a Chinese IP boutique firm, which enabled him to develop an expertise in Chinese IP law (litigation, IP portfolio strategies, legal advice, contracts and China related technology transfer).

Ms. Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director, made a short presentation of the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce / EU-China Business Association. The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce is an action platform initiated by the business community for the promotion of economic, trade and scientific relations with the People’s Republic of China.

With a clear European perspective, it aims to achieve its objectives through information and interaction, and by supporting projects in cooperation with government and other public authorities.
